Refinement is not about adding more —
it is about knowing what to hold back.
THE FOUNDER
Sarah Schultz-Farrell
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTORarah Schultz-Farrell is an interior designer, creative director, and founder of Aibode & Co., a design-led surface studio working in limewash, Venetian plaster, and mineral finishes.S
Recently featured in Architectural Digest's "Leading Designers of Kansas City," Sarah grew up in Overland Park with deep roots in creativity, fashion, and design. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago, where her early work was published in Peter Klick's The Interior Designers Launch Pad. Recruited to Los Angeles before graduation, she began her career in high-end hospitality and residential design — work that earned her a feature in Boutique Design's "3 Designers in the Making."Sarah went on to complete her Master of Science in Interior Design at Pratt Institute in New York, concurrently earning a minor in Facilities Management and admission to Pratt's School of Architecture. She has since led hundreds of projects coast to coast — from luxury hospitality to private residences — across more than two decades in the industry, complemented by twelve years of electrical estimating and large-scale project budgeting. Now based in Kansas City, Sarah founded Aibode & Co. to translate digital vision into authored, hand-applied surface. The studio's approach blends AI-rendered design intent with traditional artisan technique — limewash, Venetian plaster, mineral and clay finishes — to create environments that are tactile, atmospheric, and quietly composed. Her work is grounded in restraint: an understanding that material is not applied, but worked; that a space is not decorated, but authored. Each Aibode project carries that conviction from vision to finished wall.IN COLLABORATION
Sarah is the design lead behind Aibode & Co.'s collaboration with Sarah Farrell Interiors, where she continues to direct residential and hospitality projects across the country.
